Eagleville runners getting ready to hit the pavement

November 18, 2017 by

Eagleville runners of all ability levels are welcome to lace up their sneakers and head to a special event that will soon be taking place in the local area.

The Flight of the Phoenix Firebird 5k will be celebrating its inaugural year. It will include both a 5k run that will be timed and a shorter route that can be run or walked, while those who need an assistive mobility device will be able to roll. The course will be well marked, and there will be plenty of cheering spectators along the way to encourage the “weekend warriors” to do their best.

Throughout the day, those who participate in one of the runs, as well as members of the public, will be invited to browse through the displays that will be set up by various vendors, and there will also be entertainment on site. At the end of the day, there will be a parade that will wind up at Friendship Field, where the Phoenix Firebird will light up the night time sky. Branded T-shirts and other customized promotional products for a new event like this can be supplied by an area printer.

All of this activity will be taking place on December 9, starting at 3:00 pm. It will be staged at 249 Bridge Street in Phoenixville, and additional details can be found on the Runsignup website.
