Kissimmee to get self-storage facility

November 13, 2017 by

Liberty Base Investments and HB Capital Group LLC, which are investment and development firms, have partnered to build a self-storage facility in Kissimmee.

The three-story building will be constructed on Vineland Road, on land which is part of Calypso Cay Vacation Villas, a time-share development that sprawls over 82 acres. Extra Space Storage, Inc., an investment trust and management firm, will manage the building, which will offer 900 storage units.

Liberty and HB Capital bought the site in 2017 for $1.35m. Designer Patrick Pilot will be using architectural designs inspired by the Caribbean for the storage building, so that it will match the style of the resort. Calypso Cay is close to retailers and restaurants, and less than 10 miles from Disney World.

Liberty is based in South Florida, and is a real estate development and investment company that focuses on acquisitions, development, and asset management, mostly in the Southeastern United States. HB Capital is based in Miami, and like Liberty, focuses on development, asset management, and acquisitions, though it operates in both the Southeast and Midwest. HB Capital has about three million square feet in over 50 assets, including properties in the retail, residential, office, industrial, and hospitality sectors.

Developers of projects like this might work with a brochure printing company to create illustrated brochures for wide distribution, showing prospective renters the amenities of the facility.
