McKinney event set to host some special guests

A night of holiday fun is on the way for McKinney for local children in the adoptive, foster care, kinship care, and Family Beacon programs.

The 9th annual Santa’s Little Helper Respite Night will give these nontraditional families an opportunity to enjoy an evening together. It is geared for everyone from babies up to children who are age 12, and there will be lots to see and do. The kids can play games, make crafts, and enjoy a slice of pizza and a drink while they play with their siblings and friends, and there will be bounce houses set up too.

A visit from a special guest is on the agenda for the occasion. Rumor has it that Santa himself will be stopping by to meet with the crowd, and there will be plenty of photo opportunities. The celebration is open to children of all needs and abilities, and the organizers have requested that parents or caregivers let them know if the boy or girl they are registering to come has any extra requirements that will need to be accommodated. Banners for a special event like this can be crafted by a local printer.

This evening of festive excitement for local kids will be taking place on December 2 in Rhea’s Mill Baptist Church in McKinney. The ticket price will be $10 each, and as only a limited number are available, anyone who would like to register has been advised to do so well ahead of time.
