Studio City residents will be flocking to the 86th Hollywood Christmas Parade later this month, where over one million spectators are expected.

The three-mile parade route will sport gigantic inflatable balloon characters like Gumby the Gingerbread Man and his accompanying gingerbread house, Garfield, and a Toy Soldier, as well as cars filled with celebrities. A selection of 19 marching bands, dance groups, and color guards are scheduled to march and perform along the route.

Equestrian units will include the L.A. County Sheriff Mounted Unit, the Broken Horn Ropers, and Majestic Acres Friesian horses that along with their riders will be decked out in Renaissance-style tack and costumes. Name banners in front of parade entries will introduce the units.

This year’s Grand Marshall will be Dr. Oz. Hosts for the event will be Laura McKenzie, Erik Estrada, Montel Williams, and Dan Cain. Cohosts will be Garrett Clayton and Elizabeth Stanton.

Marine Toys for Tots Foundation will benefit from the live musical performances presented by Hollywood singing stars, bands, and floats.

The Hollywood Christmas parade will be November 26 beginning at 5:00 pm and aired on primetime TV December 15 at 8:00 pm. The parade will begin at Orange Drive and make a U shape that will take participants east to Vine, south to Sunset Boulevard, and west back to Orange Drive. The pre-parade concert will start at 5:00 pm with the parade stepping off at 6:00 pm.
