Madison celebrates with local charity

The United Way of Dane County will be holding its annual Community Celebration in a few days. The event will be free and everyone is invited.

After registration the venue will open up to networking. Everyone who will be attending are getting their custom business card printing done as soon as possible while others will be updating their information on their digital business cards. During the networking segment there will be live music, hors d’oeuvres, and beverages available.

A program after the networking will feature awards and guest speakers. This year’s speakers will be the Urban League of Greater Madison’s Senior Vice President – Ed Lee, Access Community Health Centers’ CEO Ken Loving, and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sister of Dane County’s Sandy Morales. They will be sharing stories of people who have been impacted this past year by the United Way Agenda for Change focus areas of Health, Income and Education. The program will also have highlights of its 2017 campaign.

Brandon Taylor and Dani Maxwell, anchors form 27 News Wake Up Wisconsin, will be this year’s emcees.

The United Way of Dane County’s Community Celebration will be Thursday, November 16 at Monona Terrace, 1 John Nolen Drive, Madison from 4:00 until 6:30 pm. Networking will begin at 4:30 pm and last for an hour. Cocktail and business attire advised.
