Friendly’s eatery coming to Marlborough

November 3, 2017 by

Residents of Marlborough, Massachusetts will now be able to dine at a local Friendly’s restaurant that plans on opening later this month.

Friendly’s is a chain native to the East Coast that serves food such as hamburgers, sundaes, and pancakes. This new location will be the first ground-up one opening in Massachusetts since 2004 and its arrival will be celebrated by having John Maguire, the CEO and president of Friendly’s, perform the first ceremonial scoop of ice cream.

Along with the ceremonial ice cream scoop event, the first 50 customers who pass through the doors on opening day will receive a free year’s worth of Fribbles, which is a thick type of shake offered by Friendly’s.

The new Friendly’s location will be opening at 7:00 am on November 13 at the new Apex Center entertainment complex on 157 Apex Drive. For those who may not be close to this location but who still want to take part in the festivities, several Friendly’s restaurants will be offering a special $2 cheeseburger and fries menu option on the week of November 13 as part of the new restaurant celebration. A full list of these participating restaurants can be found online on the Friendly’s website.

More information about Friendly’s including menus, special food offers, and franchise business forms, can be found on the company’s website.
