Local organizations and businesses are invited to enter the annual holiday event known to draw impressive crowds.

Introducing products and services to large numbers of new potential customers is always beneficial to a business, especially during the Christmas shopping season. The Alabaster Christmas Parade is an event for everyone in the community and has an audience that includes people of all ages and interests. Participants can hand out candy, flyers, and promotional products to the many residents in attendance.

The parade is a popular annual event that is not only free to enter, but also includes the opportunity to win a trophy for the float design. There are several trophies available this year, including Best Holiday Spirit and Best Use of Theme. The organizers require all floats to have a holiday theme and not include either a live actor playing Santa or any dirt bikes. All floats must have candy to throw to the children in the audience.

The parade takes place on December 2, but registration end this Friday, November 3. All interested individuals and groups can register through the Alabaster municipal office, either online or in person. The parade will take place regardless of the weather unless the conditions make the event unsafe. No alternative date is planned.
