Vero Beach boy scouts to deliver holiday cheer

October 30, 2017 by

The 2017 holiday season is on the way, and in Vero Beach, that means it’s time for the 3rd annual Boy Scouts Troop 513 Christmas Tree sale.

Trees will be dropped off for the scouts so they can be delivered to customers on the Thanksgiving weekend. Anyone who preorders a tree will be able to pick it up throughout the weekend, and deliveries will be made on Monday.

Along with the Christmas trees, tree stands and potted poinsettias will also be available for purchase. Most of the work will be done by the boy scouts themselves, and anyone who has placed an order will be able to come in for first choice of the trees to be distributed.

Proceeds from the tree sales will be used to help fund the different activities the scouts will be engaging in throughout the year. Tree stands, poinsettias and various heights or Fraser fir trees will be available to order, and the delivery fee will be by donation. Customized business forms and other paperwork that can help to keep a function like this running smoothly can be supplied by an area printer.

The trees will be distributed from the Living Lord Lutheran Church in Vero Beach. Orders will be taken starting on November 1st, and more details can be found on the fundraiser’s Eventbrite listing.
