Snellville area workshop to shine a light small business tax

September 17, 2017 by

This fall, Snellville’s small business owners will be offered an opportunity to explore the world of taxes with an emphasis on how they can make them work best for them.

Tax laws and regulations can prove to be both extensive and confusing, so the Small Business DIY Tax Workshop will give those who participate knowledge they can use to navigate through them with relative ease. There will be a discussion of how a business tax return is filled out, as well as what deductions owners will be allowed to claim as part of running their company. Tips will be given about which documents will make filing a return much easier, and also how long they should be kept before sending them to the shredder.

The workshop is open only to those who have a sole proprietorship or LLC, or who are an independent contractor. Refreshments will be served to the participants, and there will be time for questions and sharing best practices between the attendees. Calendars that have been printed to include important dates in the tax year can be prepared by a local printer to distribute to those who take part in an information session such as this.

October 21 has been selected as the date for the event, and it will run from 1:30 pm until 3:30 pm. It will be held at 5415 Sugarloaf Parkway, and more details can be obtained by visiting the organizer’s website.
