Torrance invited to show some love to a local beach

September 17, 2017 by

A call has gone out to Torrance beach lovers to come out and do their part to keep a local seaside looking great.

Area residents are invited to gather their friends, families, co-workers and anyone else who is willing to join in the Hermosa Beach cleanup. Those who are interested in lending a helping hand to the project are asked to bring along a bucket, gloves, a reusable water bottle, and snack, as well as a hat and sunscreen, as this will all help to make it a zero waste event.

The volunteers will be picking up trash and other debris, and while it is open to people of all ages, anyone who is 12 or under will need to have parent or guardian with them.

Everyone’s assistance will be welcome in this cleaning initiative, and each person who comes out will need to have a signed waiver form. The beach captain will sign service hour paperwork at the end of the event. Business forms such as this, and a variety of other printed items, can be both designed and produced by an area printer.

This day of hands-on environmental action has been organized by Heal the Bay, and it will take place on November 18. More information about the Nothin’ But Sand Clean Up can be found on the group’s website.
