Families invited to overnight urban camping adventure

Duluth families interested in having a fall getaway without even having to leave town are invited to spend a night under the stars in Rogers Bridge Park.

The city will be hosting its first ever Snores n’ Snores campout, and it will be suitable for people of all ages and levels of camping experience. Those who come out can choose between bringing along their own gear, or, if they prefer an option that is more in the “glamping” vein, they can choose to have a tent set up and ready for them when they arrive.

The schedule for the evening will include camping and outdoor themed games, and there will also be live entertainers on hand to keep the crowd tapping their toes. Food trucks will be parked on site, and kids and adults alike can sample the all-you-can-eat s’mores.

Three different ticketing options have been made available for the event. People can choose between bringing along their own tent, or they can opt for one of the two- or four-person models that will be set up for them. People can opt to have their campsites next to each other, and are asked to request this when they reserve their spot. A company that performs newsletter printing services can supply community bulletin that keep people informed about functions like this that are happening in their area.

This community celebration that will bring a piece of the wilderness to Duluth has been planned for October 21. More details can be found on the city’s website.
