Rockford Park District receives Loves Park director

Dan Jacobson, who previously worked for the city of Loves Park, Illinois as the director of public works and development, will now be working for the Rockford Park District as the superintendent of operations.

Jacobson’s current achievements include working for Loves Park for 28 years, leading engagement efforts and community planning, serving the citizens and businesses of the area, assisting in administrative functions, and directing multimillion-dollar public improvement projects.

He also currently holds positions in organizations such as the board of the land use policy committee of the Illinois Municipal League, the Illinois Tax Increment Association, the technical committee of the Rockford Metropolitan Agency for planning, and the leadership council of the Rockford Area Economic Development Council. He has served as part of the public infrastructure spoke team of Transform Rockford and was a member of the team that helped to create the Winnebago County Geographic Information System as well.

Jacobson will now be serving the Rockford Park District by overseeing asset management and capital planning for the region, directing the Rockford Park District police, and managing the Mercyhealth Sportscore complexes, Golf Rockford, and parks within the district.
