Flemington set to recognize local sheriff

August 14, 2017 by

The Boy Scouts of Hunterdon County will soon be honoring Sherriff Frederick W. Brown with a special evening in Flemington, and local sponsors are being sought for this public event.

The organization will be hosting a reception in the Auditorium of Hunterdon Central High School for Sheriff Brown, who has been selected as the 2017 Distinguished Citizen. Astronaut Gregory Olsen, who will be the keynote speaker for the occasion, will address the guests, and there will be time for socializing and networking as well.

To help make the event a success, the organizers are offering different sponsorship opportunities for local businesses that wish to lend their support. Each comes with its own set of benefits, ranging from reserved seating to inclusion in the program journal for the evening. Booklet printing can be used to produce items such as this, which can be given to each guest who attends.

Those who would like to lend a hand but cannot make the event are also invited to make a contribution. The proceeds will be used to help fund activities for the Washington Crossing Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Everyone is welcome, and the ticket price starts at $10 each.

More information about this occasion, which will be held on October 4 at Hunterdon Central High starting at 7:00 pm, can be found on its website.
