Car show returns to area for another year

The Goodguys 31st annual West Coast Nationals Giant Car Show is taking place for three days at the end of this month, presented by the Goodguys Rod and Custom Association.

The show is expected to feature over 3,000 cars from all over the United States. They will be competing for a number of titles, including America’s Most Beautiful Street Rod Award. Registration fees per vehicle are $55 for Goodguys members and $75 for non-members; costs are $30 and $40 for the Sunday Show and Shine event only.

In addition to the display of classic cars, there will be over 300 vendors selling auto-related merchandise, a swap meet, an auction, and a Cars 4 Sale Corral. There will also be a kids’ zone with arts and crafts activities and games, along with a craft beer garden, a model car show, and an exhibit of mini engines.

Registered owners will likely receive either a plaque or a sign to place on their vehicles. These would probably be provided by a Pleasanton printing company.

The Goodguys West Coast Nationals Giant Car Show will be held at the Alameda County Fairgrounds from August 25 to 27. Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for children between the ages of 7 and 12, or a three-day pass is $50. Contact Stephanie at 925-218-9122 for the most current information.
