Lancaster celebrates its heroes this fall

The Celebrate America on the Blvd festival is taking place next month.

A presentation of the City of Lancaster, the festival is not only a salute to the United States of America, but also a celebration of military veterans and those currently serving both overseas and at home.

There will be an evening filled with activities for people of all ages and interests, with a classic car show featuring local collector vehicles, musical entertainment including several tribute bands, and an Americana memorabilia display. There will be plenty of family-friendly activities, which will likely include inflatable rides and games, and a pie-eating contest is on the schedule for the day.

In addition to entertainment, several vendors will be on hand to sell a variety of merchandise, including handmade arts and crafts, and food.

This free festival is likely to attract people from all over the Lancaster area who wish to pay tribute to their military personnel. To help spread the word, printed materials such as flyers, posters and may be distributed to public facilities such as malls and libraries.

The Celebrate America on the Blvd festival will be held on W. Lancaster Blvd. between Genoa Ave. and Beech Avenue on September 9 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. Call 661-723-6000 to find out more or to become a vendor.
