Our Mayor, Hall Parish has declared the month of March as Irish History Month and to celebrate the Irish, the 18th annual Greater Manassas St. Patricks Day Parade will be marching through downtown Manassas the middle of March.
Irelands five premier tenors are coming to the Hylton Performing Arts Center at the end of January. From Dublin, Ireland the five are making their first tour A Salute to Ireland here in the United States. The five will be singing as a quintet, in quartets, trios, and duets as well as soloists.
The first entry in locals new 2017 calendars may just be the upcoming performance of The Five Irish Tenors.
Greater Manassas will get us all into the holiday spirit with three events coming in early December.

Our calendars say that it is August and almost time for the annual City of Manassas civil War Commemoration weekend. This year the event will offer its standard tours, demonstrations, speeches and re-enactments.
The 25th Annual African American Heritage Festival will be coming in a few weeks. More than 100 booths, trailers, umbrella stands, kiosks, tents, food trucks, and push carts will be at the site. The event will also feature three expos, a classic car show, and a Health Fair. More than 1,000 attendees are expected.
