The grand opening for Veterans Park in Lyons will take place on May 5 from 12-2 pm. The opening is a presentation of the Lyons Park and Recreation Department and the Village of Lyons. This means itll open in plenty of time for Memorial Day.

The 11th annual dVine Affair will take place at the Union League Club of Chicago on January 29 from 2-6 pm. This event has been described as 'Chicagos premier wine tasting event.' Tickets are $125 per person and proceeds go to Catholic Charities self-sufficiency programs. Guests can pay an extra $50 to receive a pre-tasting tour from 1-2 pm. Guests can also pay an additional $45 to attend a dinner at Quartino from 5-8:30 pm.

Visit the Dieter Roth exhibit at the MCA

MCA DNA: Dieter Roth will be showing at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago until February 26, 2012. It mainly consists of artists books created by the German Icelandic artist; his work is said to blur the lines between artistic media. The exhibit, which was organized by curator Lynne Warren, consists of 60 books created by Roth and also highlights three of his lithograph portfolios (titled as Dogs, Bats and Trophies) and several drawings which provided the basis of those lithographs.
