A new Wal-Mart Supercenter opened late last month in Irvine and is located approximately 10 miles northwest of Lake Forest. Last month, a successful Lake Forest business, The Jewelry Box, held a fundraising activity to raise money for an area charity, Breast Cancer Solutions, in which a total of $3,500 was collected. Mayor Kathryn McCullough honored three local restaurants with trophies on Tuesday, September 18, as the winners of the Taste of Lake Forest event in August.
