Tacoma to show its taste

June 26, 2012 by

A Taste of Tacoma begin this Friday, July 29, at Point Defiance Park located at 5400 in Ruston, Washington, just down the road from Tacoma. This event takes place Friday and Saturday from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm and concludes on Sunday at 8:00 pm.

During this festival, which is sponsored by Emerald Queen Casino, a Taste of Tacoma provides an inexpensive opportunity for families to attend and participate in three fun-filled days of activities. There will be more than 19 food booths and 32 restaurants serving up the great fresh produce and foods from the Tacoma region. Beside great tasting food, four live performing musical stages will be on offer, with an assortment of musical bands, a comedy club producing plenty of smiles and laughs, a beer and wine garden, samplings of various surprise treats, and more than 100 artisans’ booths, as well as vendors and commercial products.

This weekend event is being labelled “The Ultimate Picnic.” Parking is available at Funland, which is across the street from the park and costs only $10. Pets, regrettably, are not allowed at this event as this is a food venue. There is a new “Rock the Bowl @ Point D,” which is a family fun zone and includes an obstacle course, zip line, and rock climbing walls. There is shuttle service to and from this event.

Poster printing and flyer printing may have been used to promote this event. Admission is free and everyone is welcome. For more information, please visit Emerald Queen Casino’s Taste of Tacoma website or call the Casino Office.
