Jazzy weekend event ahead in Tacoma

May 30, 2013 by

This weekend sees the 2013 Jazz Gala role into town and invites people to come out and help celebrate the first anniversary of the American Car Museum (ACM).

This anniversary celebration is being done in the style of the modern post-war era with all clothing, cars, dance, and music based on the late 1940s, early 1950s era.

As part of this festive evening, there will be a wonderful cocktail reception featuring drinks from that era, a mouth-watering dinner, a live auction, and the entertainment for the evening will be courtesy of HB Radke. There will be a grand opening that features the new ‘Legend of Motorsport’, named The Nascar Story Exhibit.

The organizers have provided an online catalog from which people can draw inspiration, as the attire for the evening is Post-War Modern. The ticket price includes overnight accommodation with transportation to the gala and back to their hotel, and to have their name recognized in the auction catalog – something that should keep local catalog printing companies busy.

Ticket prices for individuals are $200 per person with ACM members’ tickets costing $175. Group table prices are available on the website.

The 2013 Jazz Gala will be happening on Saturday, June 1, beginning at 6:00 pm at Lamay – American’s Car Museum located at 2702 East D Street in Tacoma, Washington. To learn more about this event, view the online catalog, or purchase tickets, please visit the LeMay – American’s Car Museum website or call Suzanne Hight at 206-236-6167.
