Chance to dive into the drawing fun

February 27, 2013 by

The CLAW Open Swim is a chance for the public to join the Cartoonist’s League of Absurd Washingtonians (CLAW) at its monthly open swim.

During this month’s swim, which will involve both the CLAW members, and guests from the public, will draw a word and use it in their drawing, but there will be other activities as well, so please read on. Poster printing may have been used to promote this event.

CLAW will have some of the members from Super Siren posing so that the various artists in the group can create a new live comic page. At this gathering, CLAW will reveal its new T-shirt design, ‘Flying Monkey’, to those in attendance. This event is being sponsored by King’s Book, which is where this group meets on every fourth Wednesday of the month. At the present time, CLAW is looking for and accepting new members. People who love to draw comic character or who are interested in learning more about it are asked to come and join the fun. No drawing experience is required, all that is needed is the time to come out and learn more.

Admission to this event is free and everyone is welcome. The CLAW Open Swim will be held on Wednesday, February 27, starting at 3:00 pm at King’s Books located at 218 Saint Helens Avenue in Tacoma, Washington. To learn more, please visit the Cartoonists League website or call King’s Books at 253-272-8801 during business hours.
