Black Cat Fun Run just a whisker away

October 25, 2012 by

Tacoma runners of all ages can arrive in their Halloween costumes this weekend and participate in a fundraising five miles of running or walking for a great cause. This will be the 2nd annual Black Cat Fun Run event in this community and it is frightful favorite amongst residents.

For those who have the desire for devilish fun, this run/walk offers two distinctly different routes. There is a five-mile route that travels the perimeter and a shorter 2.5-mile option. Both of these routes begin and end at the lodge located in the park. As this is a night-time event, participants are reminded to bring glow sticks, carry flashlights, and wear headlamps, as the course has minimal light provided. For the safety of runners and walker, the Tacoma Wheelman’s Bicycle Club will be watching over the route as well. There will be a finish line party offering door prizes, a costume contest, hot beverages, and snacks.

Poster printing and flyer printing are likely to have been used as the methods to advertise and promote this on-the-move event to residents in this community, as well as the surrounding areas. The cost for this event ranges between $25 and $35 depending on selected route.

The Black Cat Fun Run will be taking place this Saturday, October 27, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Lodge in Point Defiance Park located at 5400 N. Pearl Street in Tacoma, Washington. For more detailed information, please visit the Black Cat Fun Run website or call 253-305-1022.
