A matter of course in Tacoma weekend run
September 26, 2013 by James
The 3rd Annual Sporty Diva’s walk/run event is being held at Chambers Bay and provides everyone with an opportunity to enjoy fresh air and to help out a good cause for animals this weekend. No doubt a range of printing services have been used to advertise this fundraising initiative to people in the community, as well as those throughout the regional area.
This annual walk/run is designed to inspire, motivate, and encourage beginner athletes and people who are returning to fitness after a period away by using a friendly, supportive, non-competitive, fun racing environment. Proceeds from this benefit will go toward the programs and services provided by the Pierce County Humane Society.
The course circles the Chambers Bay Golf Course and provides a gentle, scenic 3.1 mile loop with two switchbacks running along the sand. This area has a dog park, plenty of open spaces for a picnic afterwards, and a playground for the youngsters. Washrooms and fountains are located at the start of the race, as well as at every 1.5-mile mark along the course. People are reminded that this is an outdoor event and to dress accordingly, including wearing suitable shoes.
Admission to this event is $45 per person, and it will be happening on Saturday, September 28th, at Chambers Bay Golf Course located at 6320 62nd Street West, University Place, in Tacoma, Washington. To register, or to learn more about the races and its categories, please visit the Sporty Diva’s website or call their facility during normal hours.
