Bernadette goes to Bainbridge Island

This evening, August 23, a presentation of ‘Where did you go, Bernadette?’ will be presented at the Eagle Harbor Book Company in Bainbridge Island, Washington, a few miles down the road from Silverdale. This event will run from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

The book presentation will be handled by Maria Semple, who is renowned as one of contemporary Literature’s top satirists, and is an outrageously funny story about an outspoken, complicated mother, who is the best friend of her teenage daughter, Bernadette. One day, the mother suddenly disappears without notice, leaving her 15-year-old daughter searching for her. Bernadette, nicknamed Bee, searches for her mother using various avenues, including hidden correspondences, emails, and other methods that end up creating a hilarious comedy that are bound to make the audience both laugh and cry.

Authored by Garth Stein, the book was written to take a somewhat compassionate peak into how a dysfunctional family works. The expectation is that the audience will changing its feelings by the minute but, in the end, this enjoyable presentation should send everyone home thinking about their lives and their loved ones.

Poster printing and flyer printing may have been used to promote this comedy presentation to residents of the community and the surrounding area. Admission to this evening entertainment offering is free and everyone is welcome to attend.
