A Scandinavian Christmas Celebration and Bazaar coming this weekend

November 27, 2012 by

The Scandinavian Christmas Celebration and Bazaar is being hosted by the Sons of Norway, with the bazaar portion of the day kicking off the Jule Fest. Everyone is invited to attend the Scandinavian Bazaar and get their holiday shopping started with a wide selection of handcrafted arts, gifts, and crafts.

During the bazaar, guests will be able to sample and enjoy a traditional bowl of pea soup, some Rommegrot, and other traditional treats. Poulsbo Leikarringen will provide traditional folk dance for all to watch, while Vestre sund Mannskor will serenade the guest with some renowned singing and familiar songs of the season.

After the bazaar, families and friends are invited to attend Jule Fest along the waterfront, beginning at 4:00 pm. Poulsbo will light the season Christmas tree and music will be performed by the North Kitsap choir and band, while Vikings escort the bride, Lucia, to the park for dancing around the Christmas Tree. A bonfire will be lit and Santa Claus will arrive to close the celebration. During the event, people will be able to enjoy hot dogs, hot cider, and hot chocolate for sale at vendors.

Flyer printing and poster printing may have been used to promote this festive occasion to all the people in this area. Admission is free and everyone is welcome to come, shop, and enjoy the festivities. The Scandinavian Christmas Celebration and Bazaar is happening on Saturday, December 1 starting at 10:00 am at the Sons of Norway located at 18891 Front Street NE in Poulsbo, Washington, just down the road from Silverdale.
