World Rhythm Festival

From Friday, April 27th to Sunday, April 29th, the World Rhythm Festival being sponsored by SWPS will be held at the Seattle Center located at 305 Harrison Street in Seattle, Washington. This event is open to everyone.
On Friday the focus of the World Rhythm Festival will be on workshops for families, children, and adults, plus there will be a number of youth group performances. Friday evening the festival’s opening celebration will kick off the three day music festival.
All day Saturday and Sunday there will be workshops for youths in the Center Hourse, 3rd Floor, in Room B. Saturday will also feature a drum circle for the community to participate in. Saturday evening a dance party with Godry Ryan and the Jallamollowalle Rhythm Band, Vado Diomande, and Thione Diop and the Afro Groove will be the highlight.
At this event, an international marketplace will be available for purchasing good from countries around the world. This event is considered one of the best musical immersion weekends in the world. There is unlimited drum and dance opportunities for all. Music featured at this event includes African, Middle-Eastern, Brazilian, Indian, North American, Latin, and much more.

There is no charge to attend this community event and is a great event for all ages. Ample parking is available at the Seattle Center.
