Walk the walk in early August event

July 29, 2012 by

From Friday, August 3 to Sunday, August 12, the Gumshoe 5K Walk will take place at Phinneywood Neighborhood located at 6532 Phinney Avenue N in Seattle, Washington. Start times to this event will be provided with purchase of online ticket.

This is an annual fundraising event, with this year’s proceeds going to Greenwoods Senior Center, the Food Bank, and the Elementary School PTA, with each receiving an equal third. This event takes place over a ten-day period.

With the purchase of a gumshoe entry form that can be bought at Ken’s Market, located at 7231 Greenwood Avenue N, and paid for by debit or credit card, participants receive the 30-clue list that guides them through the 5K walk, which equates to approximately 3.1 miles and will allow them to discover some interesting and fun things.

The guest is free to choose whether to complete the event in one day or over 10 days. Once the walk is completed, participators can return the entry form to its place of purchase by 6:00 pm on August 12 to enter a drawing for one of three Fred Meyer Gift Cards or several other prizes, which include meals at cafes, offers at restaurants, and zoo tours. This should be a great family event in which everyone is welcome to participate.

Poster printing and flyer printing may have been used to promote this event to the community and surrounding area, with the aim of drawing in a good number of walkers. For more information, visit the Gumshoe 5K Walk website or call 206-783-8035.
