Saint Patrick’s Day Parade in Seattle
February 29, 2012 by Mark
On Saturday, March 17th, the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be taking place in downtown Seattle. This parade will begin at the corner of Jefferson Avenue and 4th Avenue and wind its way north along 4th Avenue to the Westlake Park reviewing stand. There will be scheduled events taking place with closing ceremonies taking place at the Seattle Center located at 305 Harrison Street in downtown Seattle.
This event is an excellent kick-off to the Irish Festival taking place at the same location during the weekend, so after the closing ceremonies why not slide over to the festival where you can enjoy everything Irish. This festival features guest speakers and live demonstrations, plus Irish music, Irish language lessons, and numerous Gaelic games those in attendance are invited to try out. While at this festival, you will be able to learn and research more about your Irish heritage and the history of the Irish people. This educational opportunity is a great learning experience for the whole family, so why not pack up the children and head down to the event. While there, don’t forget to check out the various exhibits and vendors who are participating in this event. Admission is free to all.
Print companies have completed the flyer printing and the schedule of event printing, so anyone wishing to receive the timetable of events can contact the sponsor, the Irish Heritage Club or Seattle. They will be more than happy to ensure you have all the information you require. If you would like more information on the parade or the Irish Festival, please call 206-684-7200.
