Celebrating Irish Roots in Seattle
February 29, 2012 by Mark
On Saturday, March 17th and Sunday, March 18th, 2012 Seattle’s downtown district will be hosting an Irish Festival to celebrate everything Irish. This Irish Festival is being held at the downtown Seattle Center located at 305 Harrison Street, Seattle.
This is a magnificent opportunity for people to come, learn, and participate in traditional events celebrated by the Irish people. You will be able to enjoy Irish music, traditional Irish dancing, learn an Irish jig and breathe in the Irish spirit all while having a great time and lots of fun.
Participants in attendance are invited to join in the Gaelic games, learn how to trace their Irish roots with the local historians and genealogists who are attending, and learn some words of the Irish language though the creative lessons offered. There will be a selection of cultural demonstrations and exhibits available, movies, and you will be able to mingle with many Irish celebrities.
There has never been a better opportunity to join other Irish people and kick up your heels to the wondrous sound of recognized Irish tunes, so come out and enjoy the hand-clapping festivities and while there be sure to check out the traditional Irish foods available. This is a truly Irish educational event. Why not bring the whole family and enjoy the fun!
This event is sponsored by the Irish Heritage Club of Seattle who has already used local print companies for flyer printing and event schedule printing. This event is free to all and everyone is invited to attend and learn about the Irish. For additional information, call 206-684-7200.
