Artistic kids offered Seattle summer camp

July 20, 2013 by

Next week’s Art Camp for Kids will provide families with an affordable way to offer their children art classes while on summer vacation.

These sessions have qualified instructors who will lead the children through a number of different projects, perhaps encouraging them to seek poster printing services to get a professional looking copy of their work.

The instructors for this class are Kathleen McHugh and Karen MacKenzie, both of whom have more than 30 years of experience working and teaching children and graduated from the Cornish College of the Arts.

During the camp, children will learn from the projects they complete in each class. They will be discovering art fundamentals while they explore some of the bugs and animals that inhabit this world. Kids will be taught about lines, shapes, values, textures, color, form, and composition, and how they come together to make a good picture. This session is one week long and includes all materials. Registration and advance payment is required, and children who attend this class will need to arrive in clothes that they do not mind getting dirty.

The cost is $150 per child, paid in advance. The Art Camp for Kids will be happening from Monday, July 22 to Friday, July 26 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm each day at the Fremont Abbey Arts Center located at 4272 Fremont Avenue N in Seattle, Washington. To learn more about this art camp, or to register children, please visit the Kids 4 Art website or call Karen MacKenzie at 206-852-3815.
