Winter run helps raise funds for Redmond school

The 4th annual Polar Bear Fun Run and Wellness Expo is taking place in Redmond this January. The event is a fundraiser for St. Thomas Academy.

The Polar Bear Fun Run/Walk is either 5K or 10K, and those who register will receive a T-shirt, a swag bag, and the opportunity to compete for several prizes. Registration fees are $30 each, $40 for a couple, $50 per family of four, and $10 for each additional child. Proceeds will go to support school programs.

This will be followed by an indoor wellness expo. All participants from the run/walk will receive free hot chocolate. The expo will feature food for purchase, raffles, and vendors. Representatives of various wellness organizations will also be on hand to provide information to those who are interested in leading a healthier life. Vendors will most likely be selling items like workout clothing, books, and fitness accessories.

It is possible that this event will be advertised rather widely in the Redmond area. Organizers of these types of local events often work with local printing companies to help inform the community. This might mean investing in brochure or flyer printing services, since these are inexpensive products and can be distributed for very little extra cost.

The Polar Bear Fun Run and Wellness Expo is taking place at the St. Thomas Academy on January 11 from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. Those who wish to learn more about the run or the expo can call 514-548-3785 or visit the Academy’s website.
