Redmond to dance with the undead
October 29, 2012 by Mark
The Redmond Town Center will be visited by zombies at the 4th Annual ‘Thriller Dance for World Records’ this weekend. This is a charity event featuring costume contests, photos, and zombie makeup. There will be several ‘learn how to dance’ workshops that will induce guests to shimming, shaking, staggering, and shambling while having a great time.
There should be something to appeal to everybody at this family event, which this year is entitled the ‘Thill The World Dance Benefit’. Guests can enjoy the dancing or visit the makeup artists and have a ghastly face applied. There will be a number of local performers and an opportunity to get an eerie photo taken. Retailers in the town center will be open and offering discounted deals on a number of products.
There will also be yummy signature cocktails available for those of age. For people who arrive in costume, some exceptional prizes from local shops, stores, restaurants, and the SecondStory Repertory will be awarded to the best efforts. This is a fundraising event and net proceeds will benefit the SecondStory educational programs and conservatory.
Poster printing and flyer printing may have been used to advertise and promote this fundraiser to people in this community and surrounding communities. Admission is $25 per person for dance, $15 per person for bare bones entry, and under 16s receive $10 off the adult entry price.
The dance takes place this Saturday, October 27th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Redmond Town Center. For updates, or to get tickets, please visit the Thrill the World Dance Benefit website or call 425-881-6777.
