Participants wanted to break Guinness World Record

March 25, 2014 by

The Redmond Town Center is hosting an Easter Egg dyeing event this April in order to break the current Guinness World Record for the most eggs dyed at one time.

The current record was set by 317 people in Charlotte, North Carolina, on April 23, 2011. Officials will be on hand in Redmond to decide if this event will break the record. Winners of all of the World Records will then be listed in publications and on the official website.

Those who plan to take part must register in advance. All participants will receive a free Easter Egg cake pop. The eggs will be supplied by Smith Brothers Farms, while everything else needed to dye the eggs will also be provided for free by the organizers.

This should be a fun family friendly way to celebrate the Easter holiday. The event will probably be advertised widely in the Redmond area in both print and broadcast media. Local print companies may even be asked to provide services such as poster and flyer printing to help get as many people to participate as possible.

The Easter Egg dyeing event will take place at Redmond Town Center on April 19, beginning at 11:00 am. Admission and participation is free for those who hope to enter the record books. For more information, call the Center at 425-869-2640.
