Geeky weekend awaits near Redmond
December 14, 2012 by Mark
The GeekFest – Holiday Concert and Vendor Fair gives families the chance to come out and do a little shopping together for all those shiny presents and gifts they need for their friends and loved ones. While enjoying an evening of shopping, guests will enjoy some really geeky, yet cool, entertainment.
This year’s GeekFest features a large number of vendors brought together from all around the Pacific Northwest and offers wares that are sure to bring out the pure ‘geek’ in everybody. There will be a number of vendors with unusual items, food vendors, and much more. Some of the vendors attending this year’s GeekFest include Nerd Adjacent Productions, Friday Afternoon Tea, Twisted Root Studio, Scary White Girl Designs, Monkey Minion Press, and Tormented Artifacts, so there are sure to be some digital business cards on show. Gifts from these vendors are sure to be original in creation and unique to all who admire them. The proceeds from this fundraising initiative will go to benefit Urban Rest Stop and Food Lifeline. Urban Rest Stop provides laundry and shower facilities for the needy, while Food Lifeline feeds the Western Washington hungry.
Admission ranges between $10 and $15 per person and everyone is invited to attend and help out this worthy cause. The GeekFest – Holiday Concert and Vendor Fair is being held on Saturday, December 15 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday, December 16 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Shoreline Conference Center located at 18500 1st Avenue NE, Shoreline, Washington, just down the road from Redmond, Washington.
