Annual luncheon helps to fight homelessness

The 5th annual Fighting Homelessness benefit luncheon will take place this March in Bellevue. This is a fundraising event for kirkland Interfaith Transitions in Housing (KITH).

The event will feature a sit-down lunch and a keynote address from Olympic gold medalist rower Anna Mickelson Cummins. The host for the luncheon will be Jeff Burnside of KOMO TV4.

Sponsorships are available, and this includes becoming a table captain. Sponsors will be recognized at the event.

The luncheon is actually free, but a $150 donation is recommended. KITH is dedicated to making families self-sufficient and helping to provide stable housing. The organization currently has 32 housing units in Bellevue and Kirkland. It also holds annual holiday programs that provide food and gifts for the needy.

Those who are planning to sponsor the luncheon will no doubt want to inform their current customers about it and encourage people from all over, including nearby Redmond, to attend. This might involve investing in flyer printing services to create an advertising product to distribute throughout the community. Those items can then be sent out with regular mailings.

The Fighting Homelessness benefit luncheon is taking place at the Westin Bellevue on March 14 from 12:00 pm – 1:15 pm. To learn more about the event, KITH programs, or how to become a sponsor or table captain, call 425-576-9531.
