2012 Movies in Marymoor presents The Princess Bride
August 29, 2012 by Mark
Redmond residents can enjoy a family-friendly evening at the movies tonight, August 29, as the 2012 Movies in Marymoor Series will be presenting ‘The Princess Bride’ at Marymoor Park in Redmond, Washington.
The Princess Bride is part of the scheme’s great summer entertainment line-up. This movie extravaganza has featured everything from sci-fi to comedy and this story is an exceptionally delightful piece. Seating for this movie takes place on the grass, so blankets or low sitting lawn chairs are recommended. Seating begins at 7:00 pm although the movie does not start until dusk. Between the gates opening and the movie, there will games, trivia contests, and a host of prizes for those who participate. For parking, all guests require a permit, which can be obtained from any of the vending machines located within the grounds.
This is a great family event and is dog-friendly, although all pets attending must be leashed at all times and not allowed to run free. People with pets are requested to sit on the outer end of the seating area. This site does not have ATMs, so all purchases will require cash. Beverages and treats are available on the grounds.
The Princess Bridge features a classic ‘save the princess’ fairytale. There are giants, an evil prince, some swordplay, and even some gentle kissing. Poster printing and flyer printing may have been used to promote this summer movie line-up to the families in this community and the district. Admission is $5 per person.
