Puyallup ready to get in motion
April 26, 2013 by James
This weekend’s ‘Families in Motion’ event will give local people and families the opportunity to do something great with other community members, and get some all-important exercise too.
With spring now here, the organizers have chosen an ideal time to get out and start enjoying the milder weather. With plenty of entertainment for everyone, it would be no surprise if flyer printing by local print companies had been used to promote this spring activity to people in this area.
During the event, all the activities take place along the Riverwalk Trail, including the Daffodil Valley Volkssport 5K and 10K fun walks. As well as the walks themselves, it will include a number of vendors with unique wares, a doggy parade, a bicycle obstacle course, music, and children’s activities. There will be a big draw for a super cool prize and, while there, people will have the opportunity to learn about the ‘Trails Uniting Communities’ initiative. People are invited to gather up the children and enjoy some great fun, as well as to dress for the weather, as this is a rain-or-shine event.
Admission is free to all and everyone is invited to attend. ‘Families in Motion’ will be held tomorrow, April 27, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Riverwalk Trail located at 4th Street NW in Puyallup, Washington. To learn more about this fun day and how to take part, please visit the City of Puyallup’s website or call the office during regular business hours.
