Weekend festival to be pitch perfect

March 13, 2013 by

The 2013 Pacific Northwest Harmony Sweepstakes A Cappella Festival is being hosted by Masterworks this weekend and includes the PNW Regional Finals from the annual Harmony Sweepstakes competition in the genre.

Any lover of a cappella and harmonic singing will find that these finals showcase the leading groups and provide a rich evening of wonderful entertainment. Poster printing and brochure printing may have been the methods chosen to promote this festival to members of this community and the surrounding areas.

This year’s festival spotlights a diverse collection of groups that have impressive dexterity in their vocal, so it is no surprised that they are considered to be some of the best a cappella groups in the area. The entertainment on the evening will range in styles from doo wop to jazz and almost everything in between.

From the 2012 Harmony Sweepstakes, six national champions will return as hosts, and guests will be treated to the styles of Bodacious Ladyhood, Strangers in Harmony, Rezonate, Six Appeal, Uptown 4, and Shot in the Dark. The musical evening promises to be fun for people of all ages, who will no doubt be humming along and enjoying these shining stars.

The cost is $26 per adult, $16 per student, senior, or military, and $13 per youth. The festival will be happening on Saturday, March 16, from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts in Olympia. To purchase tickets, please visit the center’s website or call the box office at 360-753-8586.
