Verdi’s Opera “La Traviata” in Concert

On Saturday, April 28th, the Olympia Chamber Orchestra will be presenting “Verdi’s Opera, La Traviata, in concert. This event will be taking place at Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts located at 2011 Mottman Road SW in Olympia, Washington. This performance will begin at 7:30pm.
As part of the Olympia Chamber Orchestra’s “Steps Out with Opera” series “La Traviata” will be performed in the Sound Community College Campus by the Olympia Chamber Orchestra, as well as a soloist and the chorus of Opera Pacifica will share the stage for this superb event.
Narration for this great event will be in English so guests can follow the storyline and action that is taking place on stage. During this performance all the musical highlights and arias will be sung and acted by professionals. This great Italian play is one of the better known and most loved operas of this century.
This performance is very moving, even without the English translation, most guests will be able to follow the dramatic storyline about the crossed lovers. Audiences around the world have been mesmerized by the musical scores that tell the story, as much as the actors. Costumes for this event have always been styled after the period and the set changes keep time with the storyline. Local printing companies have no doubt been recruited to provide brochure printing services, and possible the libretto, which is ia traditional feature of any opera.
