Olympia in for a bazaar weekend
October 29, 2012 by Mark
An upcoming family friendly event will invite guests to come out and shop for the holiday season while giving something back to the community.
The Women’s Club of Olympia (WCO) Fall Bazaar will be a shopping extravaganza and proceeds will go directly back to the local community in various forms, assisting with local preservation projects.
The bazaar will offer something for everyone and guestswill find all kinds of homemade baked goods, a wide selection of artisans’ works, an assortment of crafts, and an interesting collection of gift items and collectibles. The bazaar is being hosted in the Historic Abigail Stuart House. Portions of the proceeds will be used for college and vocational scholarships, preservation of WCO archives and the Historic Abigail Stuart Club House, local charities, the Baby Layette Program run for Indigent Mothers, and contest endowments in art and photography for local high-school students. Vendors should note that spaces are disappearing quickly, so they need to hurry to reserve their spot.
Poster printing and flyer printing were probably among the methods used to advertise and promote this fundraising event to residents in the community and surrounding communities. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
The event is being held this Saturday, November 3, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Women’s Club of Olympia Historic Abigail Stuart House located at 1002 Washington Street, SE, in Olympia, Washington. For addition details, please visit the Women’s Club of Olympia Fall Bazaar website or call Genevieve at 306-753-9921. Parking is free at the event.
