Olympia garden party rose to the occasion
February 13, 2013 by Mark
The Rose Garden Work Party is being hosted this week by the Olympia Parks, Arts, and Recreation Department and is part of the City of Olympia Park Stewardship Program.
This is a great family event that provides local attendees with a way to give back to their community, while enjoying some great outdoor family time in a beautiful setting. Poster printing and flyer printing may have been the method organizers chose to promote this work party to families in this community.
In preparation for the coming spring season, the Olympia Parks, Arts, and Recreation Department has set up a fun-packed work party to get the splendid rose gardens ready for the better weather ahead. During this event, participants will be asked to pitch in and lend a hand with the raking and weeding of the beautiful summer gardens.
The focus will be to weed in and around the splendid gardens and to beautify this unique and interesting park that is enjoyed by residents and visitors during the warmer season. This event is taking place over the next three Fridays, and participants will meet at the Kitchen Shelter, number 1, before proceeding to the gardens.
This is a free event and guests are reminded to bring gloves and a smile. The first Rose Garden Work Party will be held this Friday, February 15, from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at the Priest Point Park located at 2600 East Bay Drive NE in Olympia, Washington.
