An un-belly-vably fun-filled start to December

November 22, 2012 by

For many of us, watching belly dancers perform can create a rhythmic experience that relaxes the mind and softens the soul. December will see the return of an annual fundraising event, donating the proceeds to the Woman’s Club of Olympia, in which dancers from around the S. Sound area will be performing for everybody’s viewing enjoyment.

The Belly Dancing Fundraiser event will consist of several solo dancers, duets, and dance troupes. Solo performances will last approximately five minutes, duets will last eight minutes, and troupes will perform for a full ten minutes. Dancers will appear in their traditional outfits and there will be belly dancing vendors available for anyone interested in learning more about the art of belly dancing. Bellies may require nourishing as well as dancing, so food and refreshments will be available and are offered by donation. Dancers who wish to participate are asked to contact Kashani at 360-459-3694 in preparation for what promises to be a lively experience for all guests.

Poster and flyer printing may have been used to promote this fundraising belly dancing afternoon to members of this community and the surrounding areas. Admission and refreshments are by donation and everyone is welcome to attend. The Belly Dancing Fundraiser will be happening on Sunday, December 2 from 1:30 pm to 4 pm at the Woman’s Club of Olympia located at 1002 Washington Street, Southeast, in Olympia, Washington. Those interested in dancing or finding additional details should visit the Woman’s Club of Olympia’s website.
