The Nutcracker Ballet takes to the stage

December 10, 2012 by

The Nutcracker is a timeless ballet that provides people with a relaxing evening while enjoying a holiday favorite in front of their eyes, so it should be no surprise that there is an offering of it in Longview this year.

This special production includes local children and has been enjoyed by locals for many years. Guests should prepare themselves to be swept away in the beauty of this outstanding performance, for which poster printing and brochure printing may have been used in promotion in advance of the holiday season.

Tchaikovsky’s traditional Christmas ballet features stunning music, graceful dancing, and a timeless yet lively plot that makes it a real holiday treat of this season for both children and adults. What makes this production really special is the addition of local children used in the production. This year, there are 47 local children who personalize this performance for this community.

This is a return engagement at the theatre and, although tickets are still available, they sell out really quickly at this time of year. Guests will find themselves singing along with music they have loved for many years and will enjoy the delightful presence of the children who take to the stage to perform in this special adaptation.

Tickets for this production range between $26.50 and $36.50 depending on seating selection. It will be performed on Sunday, December 16, beginning at 7:00 pm at the Columbia Theatre Association for the Performing Arts located at 1231 Vandercook Way in Longview, Washington. To purchase tickets, please visit the Columbia Theatre Association for the Performing Arts website or call the box office at 800-575-8499.
