Longview racers to get trotting for Thanksgiving

November 18, 2012 by

This Thanksgiving, families are invited to attend the annual Turkey Trot Fun Run/Walk which features a 3.5 mile fun run/walk suitable for all ages. With a loop around the lake and a scenic panorama overlooking the lake, this is a great way to enjoy fitness and quality time with the whole family.

It starts from the Lion’s Shelter located along Lake Sacajawea. Registration for the race begins at 7:30 am on the day of the event, with the run/walk to follow. Participants will be racing against their own ages and prizes will be available for the 1st place male and female in each category. The categories are adult, teen, and youth. Beside the run/walk, there will be raffle draws and refreshments available for all those who participate. All children younger than 8 are allowed to race free. This is a timed race and racers can either pre-register online using a credit card or register the day of the event.

Poster printing and flyer printing were probably the chosen method to advertise and promote this fun run/walk to the community and people in surrounding communities. Admission is $8 per person in advance or $10 per person on the day of the race.

The Turkey Trot Fun Run/Walk is being held on Thursday, November 22, at the Lake Sacajawea Park, Lion’s Shelter, located at 17th and Nichols Street in Longview, Washington. To register, or to obtain more information, please visit the Turkey Trot Fun Run/Walk website today.
