Learn of the medicine wheel this weekend

May 29, 2012 by

On Saturday, June 2, Medicine Wheel Teachings will begin at Raven House Healing located at 214 W. Cowlitz Avenue in Castle Rock, which is just a quick drive from Longview, Washington. These teachings will be held starting at 12:00 pm with a drumming circle and will be followed from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm with Medicine Wheel Teachings. The conclusion of this event will take place from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm with the contacting of the Spirits of the Wheel.

Roy Wilson, Spiritual Leader and Storyteller of the Cowlitz Tribe, will be guiding these classes. Maureen Brown and Kyle Ward, who are practitioners of various shamanic rituals, will guide guests in making contact with the medicine wheel spirits. The wheel assists with ordinary everyday life by providing helpful information and guidance. Guests are asked to bring a drum, a rattle, and lunch in a sack, eye covering, and a blanket, as well as a mind open to receive and a heart ready to hear Native American teachings and traditions. These teachings will work well with followers of Christianity, Buddhism, Judaism, Hinduism, and other worldly religions. Through the course, guests will find spiritual enlightenment.

This event is free to attend but donations from guests will be gratefully accepted to help cover the costs. Stationery printing for this event may have been prepared some months ago to help promote it to the local community. For additional information about this event, please visit Raven House Healing’s website or call Maureen Browning at 360-703-1394.
