Car show parks up in Longview

August 16, 2013 by

The 3rd Annual Run for Gold Car Show is a fundraising event with the proceeds going to benefit the Longview/Kelso Special Olympics. The automotive event features vehicles from every era and will offer guests a feast for their eyes with the shining chrome and eye-catching paint jobs. The promoters may have used flyer printing and poster printing to advertise this show to people in this community and the surrounding areas.

During the festivities, there will be cars competing for the many awards up for grabs. There is also an open class area and all competitors will be supplied with a goody bag and a dash plaque commemorating the show. The spectators will enjoy a number of raffles with some great prizes, and will be able to view some outstanding vehicles from the past.

For car enthusiasts who wish to showcase their vehicles, there is a $20 registration fee payable at the gates before the show is open to the public. Registration starts at 8:00 am and ends at 10:00 pm. After the show, there will be an awards ceremony taking place around 3:00 pm. Throughout the day, the competitors and the spectators will enjoy live music.

Admission to this show is free to spectators, and the event will be taking place tomorrow, August 17, starting at 10:00 am at the Roy Morse Park located at 100-300 Morse Parkway in Longview, Washington.
