Fun event lets Hollywood help children

The 26th Fun for Funds dinner auction is taking place this March in King County. It is a fundraiser for the Children’s Therapy Center, which is located in Kent, and has set itself a goal of raising $250,000 this year.

The theme of this year’s dinner is ‘Hollywood Stars’ and everyone is encouraged to dress up as their favourite movie star. The host for the evening will be Denis Whitaker of KOMO4. Guests can walk the red carpet, have a cocktail, enjoy dinner and dessert, play games, and bid on items in silent and live auctions. Those who pay a little extra can attend a VIP cocktail party prior to the dinner. The auctioneer for the evening will be Keith Robbins.

The Children’s Therapy Center provides services to over 2,800 families of special needs children in King and Pierre counties.

It is likely that the organizers of this event for the Kent charity will make sure the venue is decorated in fitting with the theme. This may involve contacting local banner printing services to provide large colorful banners to be hung throughout the center. As they are available in all shapes and sizes, finding the perfect one is unlikely to be difficult.

The Fun for Funds dinner auction is being held at the Seattle Design Center on March 29. Tickets are $85 or $170 for VIP.
