Endurance the name of the game for Kent athletes

The Lake Meridian Triathlon is coming up fast and will begin at at Lake Meridian Park located at 14800 SE 272nd Street in Kent, Washington. The date in question is August 26 and participants must register before 11:59 US/Alaska time on Thursday, August 23.
This is a multi-sport event taking place in the cool, clear waters, along the rural roads, and around King Coutry’s Soos Creek Trail. Provide all the athletes who attend with a great workout, it will also be a formidable challenge, especially when it comes to race day. The park has a number of raised grades, which make for excellent viewing opportunities for spectators, including family members of the participators.
The race, which is sponsored by USA Triathlon (USAT) will call upon strong skills of endurance and a ‘Raise the Bar for Breakfast’ event is due to be held after the race. Athletes are reminded to wear appropriate clothing and good shoes, as well as bringing hats and refreshments to ensure they stay hydrated.
USAT is the regulatory body for all triathlons, winter triathlons, duathlons, and special acquathlons across America. In order to be sanctioned by this organization, the event director must have the proper permits, insurance coverage, and meet the organizations minimum standards.
