Two upcoming exhibits highlight the visual arts

The Art East Art Center in Issaquah is debuting two exhibitions this spring, each of which has something different to offer.

‘Mud, Sweat and Tears’, which opens this weekend, features local ceramic artists, some of whom are resident artists at the center. All the pieces on display are also for sale. The opening reception, taking place in early April, will allow the public to meet the artists.

‘Women of Persia’, meanwhile, is an exhibition of the works of artist Farshad Alamdari. His works are mostly still life and portraits. The opening reception will feature a talk by the artist.

Either or both of these exhibits will likely attract visitors from all over the Issaquah area. Often, organizers will contact local print companies to have them provide services such as flyer printing to help advertise such events.

‘Mud, Sweat and Tears’ is showing at the Art East Art Center until April 26. The Center is open Tuesdays through Thursday beginning at 11:00 AM, and admission is free. The opening reception will be held on April 5 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, although the first day is actually this Friday, March 28.

‘Women of Persia’ will be on display at Blakely Hall from April 1 to May 30. The opening reception is taking place on April 19 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
