Pizza & Picasso Night paints the picture

January 17, 2013 by

The Pizza & Picasso Night is held the third Friday of each month and features a different period artist. This month’s event will be featuring the Neo-impressionist, Georges Seurat.

Poster printing may have been used to promote this event to members of the public in this community and surrounding communities. This Pizza & Picasso evening is just for the kids ages 6 – 12.

During this children’s evening out, the night will kick off with delicious pizza and refreshments as the instructor shares some tidbits and interesting facts about the artist being featured at this event. After learning more about the artist, the kids are free to unleash their creativity by choosing to draw and create using the inspiration of the artist being previewed that evening.

Georges Seurat’s art flourished, mainly in France, from 1886 to 1906, although neo-impressionist artists that followed renounced the spontaneity of the random circles favoring the more measured techniques used in science as the study of optics. Today, originals of this master’s works are priceless. The children who participate in this evening will enjoy sharing time with friends and the random drawn works their imaginations create.

The cost of this artistic evening is $29 per person. The Pizza & Picasso Night will be occurring tommorow, January 18, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the Museo Art Academy located at 111 Front Street North in Issaquah, Washington. To register for this event, please visit the Museo Art Academy website or call the office at 425-391-0244 during business hours.
